Battery, also known as electric battery, there are two kinds of traction type and starting type, internal combustion forklift using starting type battery, while electric forklift using traction type battery. There are acid and alkaline batteries, generally internal combustion vehicles use lead-acid batteries, single cell battery nominal voltage of 2 volts, series into 12 volts. Battery electrolyte specific gravity at a standard temperature of 15 degrees Celsius for 1.28, when the battery cell voltage drops to 1.5 volts or less, or electrolyte specific gravity drops to 1.17, indicating that the battery discharged at the end of the battery must be charged in a timely manner. The electrolyte level of the battery must be 10~15 millimeters above the pole plate, and the low level must be supplemented with distilled water in time, and other liquids must not be added. The use of the battery, generally should be charged every quarter outside the car, charging current for the battery capacity divided by 10, charging time of about ten hours. Long-term use of the battery, should be fully charged placed in a cool, dry place, and every month or so charging.

Battery use should pay attention to the following matters:

1, it is strictly prohibited to smoke near the battery, and any flame or spark is strictly prohibited. The battery must be in a well-ventilated place when storing or charging, but not at the extraction vent to avoid corrosion caused by acid mist.

2. Forklift battery fluid contains corrosive liquid, which may cause serious burns, avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothes, if an accident occurs, please flush with plenty of water immediately and seek medical attention.

3、Please use rubber gloves when checking or maintaining the battery to avoid electric shock.

4、Battery surface or connections must be kept clean. Dust, impurities, etc. must be removed with a damp cloth, otherwise it will leak electricity, or even cause a fire.

5, clean the battery, be sure to use a wet cloth, do not use a dry cloth.

6、Don't use tools to connect the positive and negative poles of the battery.

7, charging electrolyte temperature should not exceed 50 degrees Celsius, so as to avoid the electrolyte overflow caused by injury, summer daytime, especially pay attention.

8. Before unplugging the battery, in order to avoid sparks, be sure to turn off the key switch of the forklift and the switch of the charger.

9.Do not keep the electrolyte level below the low limit, otherwise the battery will be easily burned out.
